Sander emphasizes, “My goal was to take the S 64 as Breuer meant it to be and bring it into the here and now,” highlighting the chair’s iconic status while infusing it with contemporary flair through high-quality materials and meticulous details, reflecting her background in architecture and interior design.

Thonet ensures the longevity and sustainability of its furniture by utilizing premium materials and traditional craftsmanship, which contribute to a long life cycle. As Sander states, “You can tell you have a design classic when you never tire of it and if it’s a piece that someone would be pleased to inherit one day.” Their designs are built to be passed down through generations and can be revitalized at their Frankenberg facility, emphasizing efficient resource use and a commitment to sustainable practices.
