A new house of imagination shaping Dior’s cultural presence in China

Dior marks a significant new chapter in China with the opening of House of Dior Beijing, a landmark flagship in the heart of Sanlitun. Spanning five floors, it is the Maison’s largest boutique in China and a one-of-a-kind global concept that merges fashion, architecture, and cultural dialogue.

Designed by Christian de Portzamparc, the sculptural building features petal-like white shells that echo the fluidity of haute couture toiles. Handcrafted golden glass tiles—gold being a color of imperial significance in China—accent the façade, while the iconic Dior star crowns the structure, symbolizing both heritage and fortune.

Inside, the boutique unfolds as a carefully choreographed journey. Noble materials such as cabochon parquet, reinterpreted cannage, mother-of-pearl, and refined gold details frame spaces dedicated to women’s and men’s collections, leather goods, jewelry, fragrances, timepieces, and Dior Maison. A dramatic spiral staircase leads to a concept space imagined by OMA, where sculptural white toiles celebrate the savoir-faire of the ateliers, punctuated by a striking red couture gown.

Exclusive and limited-edition creations are central to the experience, from Cruise 2026 silhouettes and reimagined Lady Dior bags to contemporary men’s capsules and refined art de vivre objects. Functioning also as a gallery, the House features works by international and Chinese artists, reaffirming Dior’s enduring engagement with the local art scene.

A tribute to French art de vivre and the couturier’s love of hospitality positioning House of Dior Beijing as a new symbol of Dior’s dialogue between Paris and Beijing.
