Gebrüder Thonet Vienna brings its timeless charm and design legacy to the heart of Thessaloniki, partnering with the newly opened Hipsters Hotel — a stylish new destination for design lovers. Housed in a beautifully restored 1925 neoclassical building by Jacques Moshe, the hotel offers a fresh take on hospitality by blending industrial architecture, bold art, and striking interiors.

Conceived by Tolis Koumparos and brought to life by 2nd Floor S.A., the 17 uniquely designed rooms each tell their own story. They feature iconic pieces by celebrated designers like Jean Prouvé, Verner Panton, and Michael Thonet, alongside Gebrüder Thonet Vienna’s signature classics. The result is a space that feels both contemporary and timeless — a perfect match for travelers who appreciate thoughtful design with character.

Within the rooms, refined pieces such as the N.0 chair by Front, the iconic N.14 by Michael Thonet (dating back to 1860), and the sculptural Morris chair by GamFratesi echo the hotel’s distinctive design narrative, imbuing each space with authenticity and charm. In the café-bar area, the Post Mundus chair by Martino Gamper takes center stage — a sophisticated, contemporary reimagining of the classic bentwood form. Its graceful curves, unexpected proportions, and seamless fusion of heritage and innovation offer a quiet yet striking complement to the industrial ambiance, adding character with an elegance that never overstates itself.
