With the presence of prominent media guests, The Langham, Jakarta introduces a distinguished new chapter in its culinary journey with the debut of ALICE by Tom Aikens — an elegant French bistro opens on 23 April 2025.

In collaboration with Executive Chef Jeremy Jouan, a seasoned French talent, Aikens reimagines ALICE as a lively bistro where timeless flavours meet modern finesse. Guests can dine indoors or on the outdoor terrace, soaking in the warm, convivial atmosphere of a traditional French eatery.

The à la carte menu features elevated French favourites such as Escalope de Saumon à l’Oseille, paired with a delicate sorrel sauce, and Côte de Veau, a tender veal chop served with seasonal vegetables and a robust jus. A curated selection of sides — including Gratin Dauphinois and Haricots Verts “Lyonnaise” — along with house-made sauces, allow for a personalised touch.

A standout is the Plats du Jour, a rotating daily special that celebrates the soul of French comfort cuisine. From Boeuf Bourguignon on Mondays to the aromatic Poulet “Chasseur” on Wednesdays, and Coq au Vin on Sundays, each dish is a heartfelt homage to tradition, crafted with precision and care.
