A Modern Nod to Eileen Gray in the ADI Design Index 2025
The ADI Permanent Design Observatory has selected the Eileen lounge armchair by Ceccotti Collezioni, designed by DRAW Studio, for inclusion in the ADI Design Index 2025. This prestigious recognition reaffirms the design excellence of the Tuscan company and opens the path to compete for the Compasso d’Oro Award 2026, one of the most authoritative international accolades in the field of design.

Inspired by the work of Irish architect and designer Eileen Gray, a pioneer of the Modern Movement known for her preference for rounded forms and formal purity, the Eileen armchair embodies a harmonious balance between classic inspiration and contemporary expression.

The armchair reflects the iconic style of Ceccotti Collezioni through organic, modern lines. Its supporting frame is reinforced by slanting oval-section stay-rods, allowing the wood to flex like a crossbow suspending the upholstered seat. Surfaces are enriched with refined finishes in solid walnut or ash, complemented by solid brass trims. A sweeping curve extends from the foot to the armrest, creating a fluid, upward gesture—an unmistakable and iconic graphic element. The combination of organic woodworking, fine finishes, and a generously proportioned seat ensures comfort and elegance, making the armchair versatile across various interior settings.

During Florence Design Week 2025, ADI Toscana will showcase several products selected for the ADI Design Index 2025 at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, from 18 to 25 October. Ceccotti Collezioni will present the Eileen armchair and receive the “Premio Eccellenze Toscane del Design” at the official ceremony on 20 October at the Florence Chamber of Commerce.

The selection of Eileen for the ADI Design Index 2025 underscores Ceccotti Collezioni’s ongoing commitment to design research and experimentation, while preserving a coherent and recognizable identity. This dedication to excellence continues to establish the Tuscan company as a benchmark in international furniture design.
