A dialogue between softness and structure, subtlety and strength

Cierre1972 presents Belt and Mac, two armchairs with contrasting yet complementary personalities—distinct characters that shape a room through their presence. Together, they embody the brand’s signature blend of Italian craftsmanship, sculptural design, and expressive materiality.

Belt

Presented by Magran Living

Belt, created by Marco Fumagalli, is the quieter: discreet, elegant, and full of subtle charm. Its refined silhouette is punctuated by a signature leather belt that outlines the seat, creating a dialogue between soft upholstery and gleaming metal. Designed for both relaxed conversations and private moments of comfort, Belt features a metal frame wrapped in polyurethane foam and acrylic layers, supported by elastic belts for a gentle, welcoming sit. Offered with armrest profiles in black chrome-effect or chrome-effect finishes, and decorative belts in selected Ibiza, Setanil, or Soffio leathers, the chair glides effortlessly thanks to a 360° memory-return swivel base—adding movement to its understated sophistication.

Mac, designed by Maurizio Manzoni, brings a bold, self-assured presence. Its generous volumes strike a balance between softness and geometry, opacity and shine. A wooden structure with plexiglass inserts anchors its plush polyurethane and microfiber padding, while the external frame—available in matte lacquer or chrome-effect finishes with chrome edges in black, bright, or gold—defines its sculptural outline. Mac fills a room with intention,  without overpowering its surroundings.
