A New Modern Concept: Open, Approachable, and Designed for Discovery

Bakerman, the Jakarta-based artisan bakehouse known for modernizing classic pastries, has opened a new outlet at Plaza Indonesia, underscoring the brand’s continued expansion in the city’s premium retail landscape.

The new location introduces an open-concept bakery designed to bring customers closer to the craft itself—where laminated dough, rising loaves, and gleaming pastry cases become part of the experience.

For its Plaza Indonesia debut, Bakerman unveils a new croissant series distinguished by the Croissant Salt Bread, where golden French flakiness meets the soft, savory allure of Asian salt bread tradition. The menu extends into sweet offerings such as Orange Custard, Choc Croissant & Butter Pudding, Honey Butter Croissant, Lychee Rose Raspberries, and Christmas-themed creations, while savory options include a Bagel–Salt Bread hybrid.

Two new desserts—a Basque Cheesecake and a Flourless Cake—anchor the pâtisserie selection. Bakerman’s popular staples, including the Almond Croissant, Croissant Egg Tart, and Croffle, remain firmly in place.

Beyond baking, the kitchen serves fuller dishes like Lamb Shank Tongseng, Truffle Wagyu Beef, and Tagliatelle Oxtail Ragout. Beverage highlights include the Bakerman’s Mont Blanc Coffee—cold brew layered with Earl Grey syrup and citrus zest—and a Karo manual-brew coffee series (Karo Blueberry, Karo Strawberry, and Karo Melon),  showcasing Indonesian speciality coffee..

Set within one of Jakarta’s most prestigious retail landmarks, the Plaza Indonesia opening positions Bakerman as both a neighborhood bakery and a contemporary lifestyle destination.
