At Hutan Kota by Plataran, Jakarta ( 22–27 April 2025): Marks the Fourth Edition of this Open-air Art Fair

VIP guests were the only ones allowed access to Art Jakarta Gardens on the first day; the general public would be allowed entry on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. With significant cross-sectoral support, Art Jakarta Gardens is proud to showcase this year’s Special Presentations, which feature prestigious partnerships and artist collaborations.

A highlight of the Fair, the Sculpture Garden features sculptures that demonstrate the wide range of forms, materials, and thematic approaches in contemporary sculpture. Some of the pieces on display include “Sit on the Bench” by King Saladeen (MoT), “Emotional Safeguard” by Agugn and Sekar Puti (Srisasanti Gallery), “Rooster” by Yunizar (Gajah Gallery), “Keep Rolling!” by Iwan Suastika (D Gallerie), “Muscle, Mud, and Blood #1” by Dzikra A.N., and “Terbanglah Bunda” by Yani Mariani (Kendys Sankhara).

With the help of Bibit, Treasury, BCA, and the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy as Strategic Partners, Art Jakarta Gardens is cultivating a flourishing and long-lasting art ecosystem that spans both the public and private sectors.

And, they create such unique installation presentations to please the artsy eyes!

Bibit x Abenk Alter
By introducing us to the well-known artist Abenk Alter, Bibit challenges us to imagine a future in which we share aspirations and hopes that will help us overcome the difficulties of the present. Abenk Alter examines themes of human connection, collective energy, and the strength of shared intentions in his interactive installation “Flower for the Future”.

Treasury x Arkiv Vilmansa
Treasury presents “Golden Age”, a captivating interpretation of the term that refers to a time of unbridled creativity and limitless potential, in collaboration with the renowned artist Arkiv Vilmansa. Arkiv Vilmansa shows the inherent worth and scarcity of gold in this installation, emphasizing people’s longing for stability and wealth.

BCA
BCA is making its first appearance as a Lead Partner at Art Jakarta Gardens with the “myBCA Space” installation, which showcases its iconic branding through a shadow interplay on a translucent façade that piques visitors’ interest and invites them to explore further. The installation invites visitors to interact with the myBCA application and its features in a distinctive way because it is an interactive space.

Also, the Lead Partners of Art Jakarta Gardens contribute to this year’s Special Presentations, In partnership with .this/PLAY Studio, iForte, Indonesia’s leading provider of B2B internet services and telecommunications infrastructure, presents “Twinkle-gize”, a dynamic, interactive installation that runs on solar energy produced by iForte Energi.

The RMHC Foundation encourages viewers to spread love and use the foundation to truly make a difference in the lives of children and families. The foundation also works with Peter Rhian, Chuans Lee, Adriel Arizon, Indah Oei, and the Museum of Toys on “Unboxing Love”.

In the meantime, TACO supports the Fair’s help desk, which is staffed by a group of people who are constantly available to help guests. Recognized as the top supplier of interior solutions in Indonesia, TACO also offers premium-quality plinths for sculptures in a range of weather conditions, made of PVC and HPL.

LUAR, renowned for its premium, contemporary, minimalist outdoor furniture that is built to last, adds comfort and style to visitors’ walks through the gardens.

Last but not least, Art Jakarta Gardens is dedicated to developing an interactive appreciative space, especially through its Public Program. With the help of the Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation and RURUradio Lounge, this year’s program is enhanced with presentations of music and art. Among the talented and experienced musicians who perform on the stage are Reda Gaudiamo, Sal Priadi, FLOAT, and R E M (Rien Djamain, Ermy Kulit, and Margie Segers). The contemporary performance piece “Sangiran 17: ERECTUSTOPIA”, which explores the relationship between ancestral heritage and modern embodied practice, is on display at Prehistoric Body Theater.

As a result, Art Jakarta Papers, a new platform devoted exclusively to paper-based artworks, will be introduced early next year, extending the space for previously unfacilitated art practices in keeping with the innovative spirit that characterizes Art Jakarta’s journey.
