A Festive Culinary Voyage Celebrating Indonesia’s Islands, Heritage, and the Art of Gathering
This festive season, John Hardy Seminyak invites guests to gather around its iconic Long Table for a refined culinary journey across Indonesia. Set within the brand’s two-storey gallery and jewellery emporium, the Long Table returns as a celebration of togetherness—where food, heritage, and community converge in the spirit of the holidays.

Curated by Executive Chef Tomy Suputra, the 2025 festive menu draws inspiration from six major islands: Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, and Kalimantan. Each course reflects the character of its region, interpreted through traditional recipes, local produce, and time-honoured techniques. For John Hardy, the Long Table embodies a simple yet meaningful idea: sharing a meal as a way to honour Indonesia’s rich culinary culture and the bonds it creates.

Highlights include Bebek Hitam from Java, slow-roasted over open fire with caramelised bumbu Madura; Udang Sambal Asap from Sulawesi, featuring steamed tiger prawns with smoked mackerel and roa sauce; and Serundeng Udang Papai from Kalimantan, a fragrant blend of toasted coconut, chilli, and dried shrimp. From Nusa Tenggara comes the vibrant Rumpu Rampe, while Bali contributes Roroban, an ancient soup of young papaya and coconut water cooked inside a young coconut. The experience is anchored by Nasi Minyak Tumpeng from Sumatra, fragrant jasmine rice served in a ceremonial cone. Dessert concludes with tableside Es Campur, followed by tea or coffee.

Overlooking a serene temple and illuminated gardens, the Long Table offers an intimate yet festive setting, enhanced by a curated wine list. From December 1, 2025 to January 17, 2026, it promises a warm, convivial celebration of Indonesia—one table, many islands, shared moments.
