“Within the silence of each design artifact resides a symphony of journeys, traveling through lands, cultures and eras while narrating tales of material experimentation and creative evolution. Despite the physical and temporal distances that separate these objects, they stand as timeless witnesses, each containing a unique narrative. In their stillness, they invite us to unearth the profound connections that bind human expressions and experiences. ‘Time Traveler’ is dedicated to this special power of design,” explains Nilufar founder Nina Yashar.

Garden – Ranieri

– Ranieri unveils ‘METEORA’, a serene sanctuary for quiet contemplation. Celebrating the allure of nature’s imperfections and nonconformity, this new site-specific large artwork, envisioned by Ranieri’s creative directors, architects and designers Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces, serves as an enticing attraction to explore the remarkable world of lava stone.

GROUND FLOOR
Andrés Reisinger unveils ’12 Chairs for Meditation’, an experiential exhibition set in the Atrium where the designer and digital artist crafts a theatrical narrative encouraging visitors to partake in introspective meditation that creates an experience detached from the constraints of time. Curated by Reisinger and Nilufar founder Nina Yashar, it presents a new collection of chairs and a striking site-specific mosaic accompanied by a bespoke musical piece composed by the artist himself.

Anestis Michalis presents ‘Like Friends you Know’ set of new sculptures. The Greek artist creates his works through the addition and subtraction of clay. He begins this process by forming individual clay pieces in the shape he wants. Then, instead of leaving them as stand-alones, he joins them together. This results in a process where each work becomes a unique individual in his imagined world.

Filippo Carandini presents the new ‘Kerià’ lamps collection, named after the Greek word for candles. Handmade Murano glass sticks form the backbone of these illuminating creations, where light dances through the captivating imperfections of artisanal craftsmanship and is saturated with rich hues. Additionally, the designer has created ‘Noctua’: featured in Nilufar Open Edition, the latest piece for his New Pompeii series, a dining room table in wood hand-painted in a variety of dark hues that reveals a rich patina.

Hechizoo presents ‘Golden Landscape’ and ‘Chonta Textile’; a captivating collection deeply rooted in the essence of the chonta palm—a unique plant that embodies the rich tradition, cultural heritage, and magic of the Amazon rainforest. Chonta wood and copper converge in a mesmerizing fusion, woven and intertwined to create two extraordinary pieces: a grand tapestry and a beautiful rug.

Hechizoo

Martino Gamper presents two colorful and geometrically shaped ‘Slice & Dice’ Mirrors, an eggplant color ‘Rita’ small armchair and a reedition ‘Innesto’ collection, unveiling two new armchairs. The practice of grafting (‘innesto’ in Italian) is employed when a gardener wants to grow something new onto an established plant. This approach reflects Gamper’s artistic practice: pieces of old furniture reinterpreted in a contemporary key.

Osanna Visconti presents ‘Rovi’, a collection named after a rose, a flower that embodies both beauty and resilience. However, rather than focusing solely on the delicate petals of the flower, Visconti draws attention to its thorns (rovi is Italian for ‘brambles’). Such thorns symbolize strength, protection and a subtle yet formidable sense of power to the designer’s cast-bronze works.

Robinson Ferreux presents ‘Delta 100’, drawing inspiration from the ceremonial flabellum of ancient Egypt, this piece resonates with a sense of sacred grandeur. Its proportions, meticulously crafted in homage to the Holy Cross, tap into the depths of the collective unconscious, rendering its significance unmistakable to those who encounter it.

Filippo Carandini

studioutte presents ‘ROOD’, an exclusive collection envisioned for Nilufar with a captivating ensemble comprising four distinct pieces defined by the commanding presence of porfido rosso (red porphyry), a material steeped in nobility and stature. A poignant antidote to the chaos of modernity — a sanctuary of quietude and serenity where primitive forms reign supreme in their enduring beauty.

Vikram Goyal presents new furniture and lighting pieces: ‘Archimedes’ Chandelier, ‘Thar’ Cabinet, ‘Golden Arc’ Console and Bench,’ Picasso’s Quartet’ Wall Sconces, all meticulously handcrafted by expert artisans. Each object explores and celebrates a range of heritage techniques in metalwork that have been practiced in India since as early as the 3rd or 4th century BC.

MID FLOOR
– Allegra Hicks
unveils ‘Metamorphosis’, a collection serving as a profound exploration into the transformative capacities of materials which forges a connection between traditional women’s crafts and a contemporary narrative to challenge established norms. An interior setting where each piece (chandelier, standing light, coffee table, cube, applique and sofa) engages in a seamless dialogue, fostering an interconnected flow.

Bethan Laura Wood showcases ‘Kiwifruit Red Passion’ from ‘Tropical’ mirror collection, in collaboration with Venetian mirror specialists, Barbini. The British designer explores the world of Venetian mirrors, fascinated as she is with the beauty of handmade swirls and curls, and the optical cutting that may create marks like stylised droplets of juice or the pip of an exotic fruit.

Claude Missir presents ‘Chin Chin’, a dual-purpose cellaret that transcends the boundaries of conventional furniture to become a piece of functional art. Created from a collage of naturally dyed Italian veneer, the cabinet offers two distinct purposes: from a piece of furniture featuring a facade composed of a kaleidoscope of hues and textures during the day to a sophisticated alcohol bar at night. A story of lebanese craftsmanship and artistry also representing a versatile object intended for atmospheres of conviviality and gatherings.

Federica Perazzoli

Federica Perazzoli unveils ‘Coco’ poufs. Inspired by enchanted landscapes and towering trees, this collection of poufs encapsulates the essence of contemplation and reflection.

Jonathan Trayte unveils three new sculptures that blur the line between art and edibility. Crafted from bronze, each piece is supported by bases made of brass or stainless steel, sometimes adorned with leather or cowhide for added color and texture. Drawing inspiration from both found objects and fruits, Trayte directly casts his creations from nature.

Lucia Massari presents ‘Toppings’. The designer collaborates extensively with Barbini Specchi Veneziani, a prominent mirror company based in Murano. She chose to work with crinkling flat Venetian glass, reminiscent of candy wrappers. This floor and ceiling lamps project explores the parallels between the decorative elements used in food, such as cakes, biscuits and cupcakes, and the embellishments adorning Murano glass mirrors that serve the same purpose.

Lucia Massari

Objects of Common Interest present ‘Purple Nebula’. Drawing inspiration from the cosmic wonders of outer space, particularly the ethereal nebulas where the color purple reigns supreme, this collection reimagines the dining area as a monochromatic sanctuary, where subtle hints of purple beckon the viewer into a space of communal gathering and introspection.

Objects of Common Interest

Rebecca Moses presents ‘Strokes of Energy’ carpet. In her vibrant artistic pursuit, the internationally renowned designer, author, and artist channels the essence of energy, capturing its dynamic flow through her paintings. Whether crafting intricate portraits or abstract compositions, her work resonates with the pulsating vitality emanating from her core.

TOP FLOOR
– Andrea Mancuso
, Creative Director of Analogia Project, presents ‘Pentimenti’, a solo exhibition of limited-edition furniture taking over 200m2 in the Palcoscenico space, crafted in collaboration with the marble company Del Savio 1910. Referring to the changes artists make while painting or drawing original work, these pieces evoke the exploration and experimentation at the heart of the artistic process. ‘Pentimenti’ (meaning “to repent”) spotlights hidden aspects of the design process, featuring doodles and abstract lines that gradually take shape in the real world. Mancuso’s interpretation delves into the creative use of various materials including marble, glass and bronze, realized across contemporary dining tables, coffee tables, consoles, vessels and lighting. Each form is a canvas to showcase a series of neo-artisanal applications, entitled Sgraffito, Strata and Stria, revealing the essence of what Leonardo Da Vinici referred to as “componimento inculto” – the untamed composition that breathes life into the soul’s movements.

Andrea Mancuso

Etereo presents the ‘Carbon Collection’, an ode to the marriage of untamed wilderness and the refined elegance of contemporary design, inspired by the tribal artifacts of Africa. Tables, the bench and the wall console: each piece is a unique work of art crafted masterfully using solid carbon wood and bronze, weaving together past and present in a timeless dance. Enveloped in the allure of charred wood, the bronze pieces are born from the fusion of fire and form, capturing the primal strength of creation. Every detail, every ripple of bronze, tells millennia-old stories of rebirth and transformation, while its texture echoes the secrets hidden in the heart of the forest.

John Brevard introduces a limited edition jewelry collection inspired by the cosmos. Such collection represents a fusion of rigorous Euclidean geometries with echoes of ancient Egyptian, Mayan, and Sumerian temple architectures, nurturing discussions between past and present. Each piece embodies a narrative of form, time, and memory, inviting viewers to explore the intersection of ancient traditions with contemporary design ethos.

Niccolò Spirito presents the ‘Supernova’ Lighting Collection, deriving its name from the captivating phenomenon of stellar explosions – one of the most powerful events in the cosmos. Its central theme is a tribute to the intense energy and transformative power observed in these cosmic events. Each piece embodies the luminous intensity and dynamic nature of Supernovae through meticulous craftsmanship and innovative use of materials. From sleek, modern fixtures to avant-garde compositions, every element reflects Spirito’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of lighting design.
