Redefining tropical modern living with elegance, confidence, and calm.

Rising gracefully from the steep slopes of Tampah Hills in Lombok, Villa Boë is Alexis Dornier’s latest architectural statement — a residence that feels as much like land art as it does a home. Designed with the hillside as its canvas, the villa’s terraced form stacks upward in a vertical rhythm, unfolding in a sequence of platforms that mirror the contours of the land.

At the entry level, the communal areas set the tone for gathering and flow, while two private sleeping wings branch further up the slope, creating sanctuaries of retreat. Crowning the structure, a circular yoga and contemplation deck offers sweeping views of the ocean and the surrounding hills — a stage for both horizon and stillness.

The design is guided by concentric circles and radial divisions, orienting each volume toward the landscape. Slanted rooflines frame the views in gestures reminiscent of mid-century masters like John Lautner, while the restrained palette — teak wood ceilings, off-white walls, and white Palimanan stone floors — ensures a quiet harmony with Lombok’s tropical setting.

Villa Boë transforms architecture into a frame for nature, never a distraction from it. Bold yet humble, it rises in Lombok as a home of vision and restraint — redefining tropical modern living with elegance, confidence, and calm.
