In Collaboration with Lissoni & Partners
Following its debut at Art Basel Miami Beach, Salone del Mobile.Milano continues its international trajectory with the curation of the Collectors Lounge at Art Basel Hong Kong. The initiative marks a significant step in positioning Italian design within the global collecting circuit, reinforcing its presence where art, design, and investment intersect.

Developed in collaboration with Lissoni & Partners, the lounge brings together a curated selection of leading Italian brands—including B&B Italia, Flos, Kartell, and Molteni&C—showcasing a spectrum of approaches that merge manufacturing heritage with contemporary design language. Together, they articulate Italian design as both a cultural expression and a strategic asset within high-value ecosystems.

The Hong Kong programme extends beyond exhibition. On 28 March, a talk titled For the Love of Collectibles: Why Collect Design Now, curated by Annalisa Rosso, will explore the growing relevance of collectible design across disciplines and markets. Featuring designer Duyi Han and Talenia Phua Gajardo in conversation with Yoko Choy, the discussion positions Asia as a dynamic laboratory for new design narratives.

Coinciding with the programme, Italian Design Day will be observed on 27 March, reinforcing design’s role as a tool for cultural diplomacy. Rosso’s presentation will focus on “re-design” as a regenerative practice—extending the lifecycle of objects while aligning with sustainability principles central to the Salone’s vision, including its new platform, Salone Raritas, dedicated to limited editions and high craftsmanship.

As demand for Italian design grows across China, Japan, and South Korea, Hong Kong continues to function as a critical nexus for exchange, positioning itself as a threshold between markets and ideas.

This collaboration with Art Basel forms part of the Salone’s broader international strategy, supported by the Italian Trade Agency, to expand audiences and foster connections across global design ecosystems. It also anticipates the next edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, scheduled from 21 to 26 April 2026 in Milan, reaffirming its role as a leading platform for contemporary design discourse.
