REDDUO PRESENTS “SLEEP ON IT”

On November 18th, RedDUO presented its new collection of home uniforms with a special experience composed of rituals, music and magic enclosed in the evocative setting of Palazzo Monti.

A fluid tactile and visual experience combining fashion, design and art. Founded by life and business partners Fabiola di Virgilio and Andrea Rosso in 2020, RedDUO is the homeware project that creates artifacts conceived to accompany us in our intimate sphere. After Mono Eye, the hand-painted clay vases and palosanto holders and the art-blankets Loads Of Lines, the couple presents SLEEP ON IT, a collection of chic homeware outfits to wear for any occasion.

Fabiola and Andrea love to organize dinners at home, to welcome friends into their intimate sphere. So while chatting, the great pajamas lovers one evening came up with the idea of launching a line of multipurpose home uniforms. The term pajamas comes from the Persian pāy jāmè, respectively meaning “leg” and “dress,”; RedDuo’s co-founders reinterpret the concept of this comfortable outfit, elevating it to a unisex, informal yet refined uniform. Whether sleeping in it, going out grocery shopping, having friends over for a laidback night or attending a fancy sleepover, SLEEP ON IT is a versatile outfit. Designed to adapt to multiple situations it is presented for the first time ever in a limited edition of 100 pieces. Available in milk, stone, and coffee nuances, the shirts and pants may be sold individually.

Short supply chain aficionados, RedDUO’s co-founders choose 100% cotton deadstock fabric, made in Italy. These surplus fabrications from collections or textile industries’ inventories no longer used are reintroduced into the market following the upcycling virtuous circle, without needing new raw material. (Re)made in artisanal wor- kshops in Veneto, the fabrics live multiple lives and are enhanced by careful details such as paste buttons sewn two by two; a clear nod to duality, the brand’s signature element. Even the contrasting stitching or the pants wor- kwear details are indicative of the high level of accuracy that has always distinguished RedDUO’s production.

Alongside the SLEEP ON IT launch, RedDuo planned a new drop of hand-painted clay palosanto hol- ders and vases and Loads of Lines art-blankets picking up the same hues as the home uniforms: “Lava gray, milk, coffee and caramel… It’s a color world of unique and complementary hues inspired by authentic, natural products. Joining our ceramics and art blankets, the new home uniforms made from deadstock cotton, en- rich RedDUO’s homeware universe with a new, thoughtful and responsible offering.” says Fabiola di Virgilio about SLEEP ON IT.
