For 2025, Ghidini1961 opens a new chapter in its creative dialogue with Lorenza Bozzoli, the Milanese designer whose work seamlessly navigates the worlds of fashion, art, and design. This year, the collaboration introduces three remarkable pieces: the Mambo bed, and the Cards and UFO side tables — each infused with Bozzoli’s signature rhythm, emotion, and sculptural elegance.

Mambo sofa

A graduate of the Academy of Brera, Bozzoli began her career in New York’s fashion scene before returning to Milan to expand her exploration into design. Her work is instantly recognizable for its cosmopolitan energy — bold in shape, rich in color, and deeply human in spirit. As she explains:

Mambo sofa

“Every object is thought not only as a functional shape, but as an expression, a manner, and as such, it cannot be put aside from the belonging to its time. Our design’s method is a mix of styles, a cooperation between aesthetics and ways of use […] An idea that, as a weave, unties it through the resolution of a function always mediated by forms able to characterize the object according to its times and places. A method that ties fashion, art, and design as forms of the same time.”

For Bozzoli, design is storytelling; each object becomes an expressive gesture rather than a static piece of furniture. This philosophy finds a natural home at Ghidini1961, a brand that transforms craftsmanship into contemporary poetry, where every curve, material, and finish participates in a dialogue between heritage and innovation.

Building on the success of the Mambo sofa and armchair launched in 2024, the collection now welcomes the Mambo bed. Translating the same fluid, dynamic aesthetic into a new typology, the bed moves through the room with sculptural, enveloping lines. Its generous form celebrates the rhythm and sensuality of the Caribbean dance that inspired its name, while lush velvet upholstery evokes the warmth and vibrancy of tropical landscapes. The Mambo bed defines the space with softness and energy — a design that seems to move even when still.

The Mambo sofa and armchair remain at the heart of this universe, a choreography of shapes that are modular yet harmonious, fluid yet grounded. Their sinuous forms unfold like a gentle dance, balancing individuality and connection. The armchair, with its generous volumes, invites moments of rest and contemplation, transforming everyday gestures into rituals of comfort.

Completing this world are the Cards and UFO side tables. The Cards table, available in wood and metal or marble and metal, draws inspiration from the delicate structure of a house of cards. Sculptural geometry meets refined craftsmanship, with each surface offering a new perspective — rounded dark tops contrasted with metallic edges, elegant and balanced without overwhelming the room.

In contrast, the UFO side table introduces a futuristic note. Designed to accompany the Mambo bed, its central column extends into a four-spoke metallic grey base, topped by an open compartment for books, accessories, or small devices. Light, contemporary, and precise, it embodies an effortless balance of elegance and utility.

Together, these pieces create a narrative of movement, emotion, and poetry — a world where design is alive, and furniture becomes an expressive companion to everyday life.
