A Refined and Distinctive Space

Gervasoni has furnished the La Locanda alle Vigne restaurant, located in the prestigious Subida di Monte winery in Cormòns, in the heart of the Friulian countryside. The project, meticulously curated by the architecture firm AK ENGINEERING SRL, has resulted in a refined and distinctive space.

Surrounded by 12 hectares of lush greenery, this architectural gem stands out for its minimalist and refined style, meticulously designed to establish a dialogue with the surrounding environment. The structure, entirely clad in wood, draws inspiration from the Friulian concept of the “Fogolar,” symbolized by a central fireplace that dominates the space. This feature conveys warmth and hospitality, creating a welcoming and homely atmosphere for guests.

Tradition meets innovation through a large glass wall that provides breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards, fostering a continuous dialogue between the interior and exterior. Within this unique setting, Gervasoni has enhanced the interiors with carefully selected furnishings from the Ghost and Gray collections designed by Paola Navone. These pieces are thoughtfully paired with poufs from the Brick collection and the elegant Saia armchairs by David Lopez Quinconces. Together, they create a space that combines contemporary design with comfort and hospitality.

The Ghost 10 sofa, in a deep green, reflects the tones of the forest, while the ice-colored Ghost 23 chairs and ochre yellow cushions introduce touches of light and vibrancy. The Gray armchairs, with their refined lines, complete the decor, echoing the natural hues of the surrounding landscape: the greens of the foliage and the earthy tones of the soil.

Ghost by Paola Navone

An iconic product from Gervasoni, the Ghost 23 chair is designed with a focus on comfort and practicality. Its sleek and straightforward silhouette is crafted with a wooden frame and features a polyurethane cover that is easily removable. Conceived to be “dressed and undressed,” the Ghost chair enhances the interiors with covers available in various tones and patterns.|

The Ghost 10 sofa, built around a lightweight shell with essential volumes, furnishes the spaces of La Locanda alle Vigne with its minimal and slim structure, padded with expanded polyurethane and complemented by soft feather-mix throw cushions in ochre yellow and brown. Its removable cover is distinguished by an oversized green slipcover with exposed stitching that highlights its profile. Warm tones take center stage, harmonizing with an environment where wood and a central fireplace evoke a sense of warmth and domesticity.

Gray by Paola Navone
The spaces are enriched with the Nordic-inspired enveloping seating from the Gray collection, designed by Paola Navone. The Gray 24 chair, with its vintage essence and contemporary design, blends the austere elegance of classic furniture with the simplicity of Nordic forms. This wooden dining armchair features a low, semicircular slatted backrest that complements the chairs and integrates into the cottage-like atmosphere of the restaurant. Its solid wood legs intersect to form a cross-shaped structure.

The Gray 26 armchairs enhance the interiors of La Locanda with their padded frame, removable cover, and exposed stitching, alongside a curved backrest designed to “embrace” the sitter. Paired with the gentle rocking of the Gray 09 wooden rocking chair, Gervasoni’s furnishings add character to the restaurant’s homely ambiance. This type of seating, typically associated with a cozy, mountain-inspired domestic setting, is defined by its comfort. The rocking chair stands out with its tall slatted backrest and a soft, loose cushion, emphasizing both comfort and style.

Completing the ensemble is the minimalist Gray 23 chair, featuring three wooden slats—two vertical and one horizontal—that frame the seat. The addition of a cushion, matching the gray tones of the other furnishings, softens the design. The chair is paired with the Brick 19 pouf from Paola Navone’s collection. Its polyurethane foam-padded structure enhances its softness, while the removable cover, adorned with exposed stitching, outlines its edges with subtle detail.

Saia by David Lopez Quinconces

With its balanced yet enveloping lines, the Saia dining armchair is a classic design reimagined in a contemporary style by David Lopez Quinconces. The name, which means “skirt” in Portuguese, highlights its defining feature: a removable cover that drapes gracefully and elegantly to the floor. Additionally, its refined forms evoke the softness of the feminine silhouette. The gently downward-curved armrests invite guests to sit comfortably, cradled by the high, embracing backrest.

Featuring polyurethane padding and an olive-green cover, Saia enhances the restaurant’s ambiance with warmth and comfort, perfectly complementing its sophisticated yet inviting interior.
