A New Chapter for Contemporary Living in the Middle East

A sense of calm lingers even before you fully step inside. Light moves gently across surfaces, filtered rather than forced. Materials reveal themselves slowly, inviting you to pause. At Kettal’s newly opened showroom in Dubai, design is not presented as a statement—it unfolds quietly, through atmosphere, texture, and spatial rhythm.

The opening marks an important milestone for Kettal as the Spanish design brand deepens its presence in the Middle East. Founded in 1966 as a family-run business, Kettal has evolved into a global name known for its thoughtful approach to indoor-outdoor living—an ethos that feels naturally aligned with Dubai’s climate and contemporary lifestyle.

Rather than replicating its Barcelona flagship, the Dubai showroom is conceived as a response to place. A porcelain veil façade softens the intensity of the Gulf daylight, creating a gentle transition between exterior and interior. Inside, an elongated skylight introduces a subtle play of light that shifts throughout the day. At the heart of the space, a sculptural staircase clad in Mutina Chamotte ceramics by Patricia Urquiola anchors the interior with texture and tactility. Custom enamelled screens articulate the space without enclosing it, allowing rooms to flow into one another with ease. A garden entry and rooftop terrace further extend the experience outdoors, reinforcing Kettal’s belief that exterior living is an essential part of architecture.

The showroom presents a curated dialogue between Kettal’s iconic and contemporary collections. Tilos by Antonio Citterio brings a refined sense of comfort, while Kari by Konstantin Grcic introduces a sculptural presence that blurs the line between furniture and object. The re-edition of Loden by Vico Magistretti quietly connects the brand’s heritage with its current design language. Collections such as Passage by Ronan Bouroullec and Insula by Patricia Urquiola highlight Kettal’s seamless approach to indoor-outdoor living, complemented by lighting and textile elements including Anda by Gonzalo & Miguel Milá and Soga Rugs by Vincent Van Duysen. The inclusion of Workplace Pi reflects the brand’s perspective on contemporary life today—fluid, adaptable, and increasingly hybrid.

More than a showroom, Kettal Dubai is envisioned as a meeting point. A space where architects, designers, and clients can explore integrated solutions that bring together furniture, architecture, and landscape. Positioned as a key hub within Kettal’s international network, the showroom is designed not just to be seen, but to be experienced—slowly, intuitively, and over time.
