A new chapter for B&B Italia that, in addition to unveiling new creations, presents an anthology that traces the path of design through time, restoring value to its historical collections.

In an unexpected twist that reflects the very essence of the company, B&B Italia puts the spotlight not only on new products but also on collections that have marked epochs in the world of design, acting as true trendsetters that revolutionized the concept of living.

With a theme centered on the concept of home and a holistic approach that goes beyond the single product, once again B&B Italia interprets the way we conceive and experience environments. From the new Dambodue sofa system and Isos and Assiale tables by Piero Lissoni to the Omoi armchair by Naoto Fukasawa, from the Allure O’ Dot tables and coffee tables by Monica Armani to the Narinari small armchair by Tiziano Guardini and Luigi Ciuffreda, up to the range extensions, during Milan Design Week the B&B Italia Design Studio in Via Durini 14 becomes the focal point of the Milanese kermesse for a week.

With an atmosphere full of innovation and creativity, thanks also to the setting designed by Piero Lissoni, Artistic Director at B&B Italia, the company presents an extraordinary exhibition that not only celebrates the novelties and the future of design but also reflects its heritage made of firsts, innovations, excellences, and products that have become true icons of Italian and international design.

DAMBODUE DESIGN BY PIERO LISSONI
Dambodue is the big brother of Dambo. It is a sofa with a lot of presence, but at the same time silent, as elegant things should be. It is very architectural and with great personality despite following this law, which is fundamental for me, of understatement. So it has presence but it is an understatement, it has physicality but it is an understatement, it has the dimension of architecture but it is an understatement.”  – Piero Lissoni –

DAMBODUE DESIGN BY PIERO LISSONI

The Dambo sofa family expands with Dambodue, a new version with a particularly generous shape and richly upholstered back and armrests. The seat is direct and rests on the floor, emphasized at the base by a bronzed nickel-painted profile that gives it a particularly strong character. While presenting linear geometries, the design has been carefully studied to ensure comfort and functionality. Dambodue proves to be surprisingly comfortable and cozy while maintaining a seat with limited depth. The range includes the linear sofa in two- and three-seater versions and a variety of elements to create different types of compositions.

ISOS DESIGN BY PIERO LISSONI
“The Isos table has legs cut at 35 degrees. As if it were a pencil,  I pointed the legs at the nook where the tops rested on them to lessen the impact and to exaggerate their static and architectural quality.  It can be made in many materials, in glass, wood, with marble legs. But the interesting thing is the tension that is built between  these pencils-columns and the  top.” – Piero Lissoni –

ISOS DESIGN BY PIERO LISSONI

The Isos table was born under the banner of transparency and lightness. What characterizes it is the cylindrical legs, load-bearing elements that enjoy an elegant design detail: chisel-tipped, they are grafted to the top utilizing a steel plate that lends solidity and style. The rounded profile of the top adds a touch of softness and refinement to the overall design. Isos is available with round, oval, and rectangular tops in different sizes, with three, four, or six unusually positioned legs. The legs are available in black Marquinia marble, white Carrara marble, and oak wood in different finishes – light brushed, black brushed, grey – to be combined with the top in extra light transparent glass. Isos is also available entirely in wood – with top and legs in light brushed, black brushed, or grey oak – for a solution that adds a touch of warmth and naturalness to the environment.

ASSIALE DESIGN BY PIERO LISSONI
“It is a perfect bridge, it is my structural idea of a bridge or the base of a building. It is a suspended object and like any bridge, it can have two faces: there is the bridge that stands still and the other that expands. It came to me thinking about the bridge that opens in the movie Blues Brothers when they are making one of their first escapes, this thing fascinated me a lot.” – Piero Lissoni –

ASSIALE DESIGN BY PIERO LISSONI

Assiale is a table that stands out for its essential design, strongly distinctive presence, and contemporary character. It is offered in two versions: extendable and fixed. Characteristic of the extendable version is the special extension system that allows the size of the table to be enlarged by simply sliding the top. Thanks to this system, the 210 cm top extends up to 294 cm, while the 250 cm top reaches 334 cm, thus adapting to different space and usage requirements. The table in the extendable version is available with a glossy or satin lacquered finish in all the colours of the B&B Italia collection. The table in the fixed version, in two sizes with a 250 cm and 294 cm top, is made of Levanto red marble that gives it a monumental appearance while maintaining the essentiality of the design.

OMOI DESIGN BY NAOTO FUKASAWA
“An armchair with the charm of a living creature, like an animal that makes people feel at home just by its presence. It is like a dog or cat lying quietly in the living room, regardless of the situation or location. It fits well in different kinds of spaces, from dining rooms to living rooms, but also in other rooms and entrances.” – Naoto Fukasawa –

OMOI DESIGN BY NAOTO FUKASAWA

Omoi is an armchair that stands out for its sinuous, enveloping shapes, which seem to flow like a pencil that keeps drawing in the space, transforming it almost into a moulded being. Inspired by the iconic Scandinavian design of the early 1950s and enriched by Naoto Fukasawa’s unique style, Omoi is characterised by sober, sculptural lines, alternating soft curves with bolder lines. The name Omoi reflects the profound thought and relevance of this creation.  It is designed for deep and important conversations rather than pure relaxation. The integrated armrests, a hallmark of the designer, give the armchair a singular elegance and character. Upholstered in fabric or leather, with decorative stitching, it features extremely accurate finishes and details. The oak legs in various finishes – clear brushed, black brushed, and grey – lend a touch of naturalness and warmth to the overall design.

ALLURE O’ DOT DESIGN BY MONICA ARMANI
“For the Allure O’ table collection, which has become iconic, I designed a new version of bistro, coffee, and side tables. I called them Allure O’ Dot because their glass top is marked with a central graphic inspired by the 1960s. The colour, the sign, and the shapes make up a collection of objects with many souls, for all situations. Objects that are always protagonists.” – Monica Armani –

ALLURE O’ DOT DESIGN BY MONICA ARMANI

Allure O’ Dot is a system of tables and coffee tables with lenticular shapes composed of five pieces of different sizes and heights. They are characterised by versatility and functionality, ideal as furnishing complements, or service elements. They boast a fresh, dynamic, and trendy design, characterised by the iconic shape of the tops and bases, which echo the distinctive design of the Allure O’ tables, the refinement of materials, colours, and the play of transparencies. The bases in rigid lacquered polyurethane and the tops in smoky or transparent glass, both with central serigraphy, are the elements that give life to a transversal product, capable of adapting to multiple functions and uses. The result of Monica Armani’s vision, combining taste, elegance, and modernity in a single proposal, Allure O’ Dot is available in three colours.

NARINARI DESIGN BY TIZIANO GUARDINI AND LUIGI CIUFFREDA
Narinari draws inspiration from the Sea Eagle, an aquatic animal free to choose its element as it is also capable of flight. This magnificent specimen with its colourful back and white front surface creates harmonies of contrasts, concave, and convex surfaces coexisting in its sinuous flow. Narinari becomes the symbol of a connection that respects individual spaces, where two entities only brush against each other along the perimeter, each keeping its own identity and autonomy intact. With Narinari, we wanted to create a place where we could find ourselves, where static concepts of form would disappear. Two surfaces chasing each other as if in a continuous game, and as a pure expression of a mother nature ready to welcome us in an enveloping embrace.”  – Tiziano Guardini and Luigi Ciuffreda –

NARINARI DESIGN BY TIZIANO GUARDINI AND LUIGI CIUFFREDA

Narinari is a small armchair with a very unusual shape, which catches the eye with its originality and innovation. A seat that embodies the talent of the young designers behind the project, the result of their first collaboration with B&B Italia: Tiziano Guardini, with experience as a fashion designer, and Luigi Ciuffreda, known for his collaboration with various architecture and design studios. Upholstered in raw cut felt, with meticulous detailing and finishing, Narinari is reminiscent of a silhouette folded like origami, a seat with continuous shapes that derive from two surfaces that chase each other, defining volumes in a soft yet decisive manner. This fusion of the organic and the digital reflects the contemporary context of strong contradictions, where the classic merges with the futuristic, making Narinari a small armchair with a strongly distinctive character, a unique and recognizable presence in B&B Italia’s collection.
